The education methodology prescribed by the University encourages independent thinking and helps the student in developing a strong perspective in banking and insurance. The University has developed these programs to enable students to earn a postgraduate diploma in the respective programs. The programs allow students to pursue their full-time studies (if any) and working executives to remain in employment or professional practice throughout the duration of study.

Integrated Learning Approach

The University has evolved a learning approach which consists of several distinct stages. These stages are designed to add significant value to the students’ understanding of the subject in an incremental manner.

Self-Study: All students are provided with a comprehensive study package specially designed for independent study, consisting of study guides, textbooks, workbooks, self-evaluation assignments, model question papers and list of recommended textbooks. In this stage, students are expected to achieve a prescribed level of knowledge through self-study.

Courseware:

Textbooks: Textbooks will be provided by the University which are specially designed for independent study.

Workbooks: The workbooks provided by the University are designed to promote independent thinking and reasoning in the students. They will also help them in preparing for the examinations.

Model Question Papers: The model question papers are accompanied by possible solutions. Model question papers are meant to give the students an idea about the format and the academic rigor of the examination.

Assignments for self evaluation and case studies are also supplied as a part of the study package.

Assignments : The study package includes self evaluation assignments which help students to evaluate their own academic progress.

E-Learning Package : The e-Learning package is designed to help the distance learning students learn in a convenient computer-based environment. The students of MBA Program enjoy the flexibility of independent self-study through the e-Learning package. The students can study at their own place, pace and time.

Additional Learning Inputs: The University believes that journals and magazines can play a very important role in updating knowledge. Students are also advised to read business magazines and dailies.

Case-based Learning : Case-based learning is an integral part of the program whereby the students familiarize themselves with the situations of Indian and International companies and how they are addressed.

Integrated Case Studies: Students are required to present analysis on integrated cases as a part of the MBA program. The purpose of the case analysis is to provide students an opportunity to put theoretical knowledge to practice. Details are provided in Students Regulations.

Web Support: All enrolled students are provided online web support on 24 x 7 basis. The use of web technology will enable the students to have a greater and easy access to the faculty and the administrative staff.

Examinations: The examinations are the final assessment of the students’ understanding of the subject. These examinations will be based on a format similar to the model question papers supplied to the students in the study package.
