Admission
The
goal of the Admissions Board is to select students whose academic background,
work experience, leadership abilities and communication skills meet the demands
of the MBA Program and promise a successful career in management. These
individuals must be able to benefit from, as well as, contribute to the
educational programs. Intelligent, ethical, articulate and active individuals
are encouraged to pursue this program. The Admissions Board evaluates
applicants' potential as future leaders and their projected ability to succeed
in and profit from the program.
Enrollment
Applications
received from the students are checked for the basic eligibility criteria and
the eligible students are enrolled into the program. The applications received
from students awaiting final year results or those who do not have the
certificates readily for submission, will also be processed and enrolled
provisionally into the program. However such students will have to submit the
relevant certificates of the qualifications claimed in the application as soon
as they are made available to such students.
Students
Regulations
All
students who are enrolled into the program will be provided with the Students
Regulations which contain the various rules and regulations pertaining to
administering the program and the examinations. All registered students of the
University are required to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations
stipulated therein.
Identity
Card
A
blank identity card will be provided to the students after their enrollment into
the program by IEL. Upon receipt of the blank ID card, the
enrolled students are required to fill up the same and forward it for
endorsement.
Fee
The
applicants enrolling into the program are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25,000
for Stage I. For Stages II & III they are required to pay Rs. 20,000 per
Stage. The examination fee is Rs.800 per group which is to be paid by the
students separately as and when they register for the examinations.
No
Refund of Fee
The
fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances.
Right
to Amend Rules
The
University reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations wherever
considered necessary and appropriate. Such amendments will be intimated to the
students. Therefore, this publication and the descriptions contained herein are
not to be construed as a contract binding university to any specific policies.
Possible changes include, but are not limited to, passing requirements,
eligibility criteria for examinations, fee structure, refund policy, curriculum
and course content, examination pattern, certification and designation, and such
other matters as may be considered relevant.
Jurisdiction
All
disputes (if any) relating to MBA Program (distance learning) is Colombo,
Srilanka.
