The admission modalities are with reference to the Programs offered by the IEL namely; B.Com / B.Sc(IT) / BBA, Executive MBA (Part-time) and MS (HRM) (Part-time). The medium of instruction is English.

The goal of the Admissions Board is to select students whose academic background, leadership potential and communication skills meet the demands of the Programs.

Intelligent, ethical, articulate and active individuals are encouraged to pursue the Programs. The Admissions Board evaluates applicants’ potential as future leaders and their projected ability to succeed in and profit from the Program.

Eligibility

B.Com/B.Sc (IT)/BBA Program (Full-time/Part-time) Students should have successfully completed Sri Lankan GCE ‘A’ Level or equivalent with minimum three passes.

Executive MBA Program (Part-Time) Students should have successfully completed a three year general degree or a four year special degree from a recognized university or National Diploma in HRM with 7 years executive experience or equivalent professional qualification recognised for admission into M.Sc / Diploma in Management.

MS (HRM) Program (Part-Time) Students should have successfully completed a three year general degree or a four year special degree from a recognized university or National Diploma in HRM with 7 years executive experience or equivalent professional qualification recognised for admission into M.Sc / Diploma program in Management or GCE ‘A’ level with 3 passes and 10 years of work experience out of which 5 years should be of executive experience.

Admission Criteria The Admission Board selects from a pool of applicants, those students whose intellectual capacity, leadership potential and personal characteristics best equip them for successful careers. The Admissions Board evaluate students strictly on merit basis.

  • While evaluating students for admission, due weightage is given to their biographical, academic record and various academic distinctions.

  • Apart from the academic distinctions, achievements/awards in sports, cultural events, debates, quizzes and other extra-curricular and co-curricular activities obtained by students are also given weightage.

Selection Process

The selection of students into all the ICFAI University Programs is made through Application. Eligible students are required to apply for the program using the Application Form. The shortlisted applicants will be called for the personal interview. After which, the admission decision is announced, as indicated in the Table given below.

Verification of Originals

For admission into the respective Program, students need to produce the originals of certificates/documents for verification when they report to IEL Center at Colombo for joining the program.

Required Documents for Admission

  • Duly filled Application Form

  • Original Birth Certificate and a photo copy

  • Original Educational Certificates / Mark sheets and photo copies (If requested)

  • Original Employment Certificates and photo copies (If requested)

  • Two passport sized Color photographs

  • One Stamp size Color photograph

  • Initial payment in cash or Cheque drawn in favor of "Icfai University Common Fund", payable at Hyderabad.
