Co-curricular Activities

Emphasis is laid on the need to balance in-class and out-of-class life. The students work hard in class, but they will also utilize energy for diverse activities such as organizing seminars on contemporary IT issues, publishing in-house magazines, organizing guest lectures, participating in inter and intra-IT college competitions.

Inter-IT meets will be organized which offer an opportunity to develop closer interaction and friendship among the IT fraternity.

Students will be encouraged to involve in several co-curricular activities like:

  • Cricket

  • Sports Meets

  • T-Group Sessions

  • Publications/Magazines

These co-curricular activities will help them to:

  • improve communication skills

  • develop the right kind of attitudes

  • enhance leadership qualities and abilities

  • work in a high pressure environment

  • manage stress well

  • emerge as a team player

  • refine interpersonal skills

  • develop group skills

  • improve creativity

  • inculcate discipline

  • enhance confidence levels

  • become result-oriented

Guest Lectures

Guest Lectures play an important role in the developmental process of the students. Eminent academicians and practicing professionals are invited for guest lectures where students get an opportunity to interact closely with them and understand the practical applications of various IT/Management concepts and ideas. Through these activities, students get acquainted with leadership roles, develop group and interpersonal skills and develop the right kind of attitude for success in executive careers.

IEL Alumni Federation

The IEL Alumni Federation (IELAF) is a non-profit society which will provide an active institutional framework for the alumni of IEL for professional development, interaction and networking.

The main objectives of IELAF are:

  • To propagate and ensure the acceptance of, the philosophy and values of IEL related to information technology education and practice, among the academia and industry.

  • To develop a system of knowledge sharing among IEL faculty, students and alumni work towards bridging the gap between academia and industry.

  • To cater to the networking needs of the IEL alumni by enabling frequent exchanges of views in the form of seminars, periodicals and newsletters.

Code of Ethics

All individual members of IELAF will be required to conduct their professional activities in accordance with the approved code of ethics and abide by the rules and regulations thereon. The code of ethics cover areas such as:

  • Integrity

  • Ethical Leadership

  • Professional Competence

  • Professional Independence
